Freedom Flowers This lithograph was just being started when Edna was told about the planes crashing into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. She  accidentally made a bold black stoke on the stone when hearing the news. She decided to work with the mark, and as she stood over the stone crying she created  "Freedoms Flowers" knowing that these flowers would never die and they stood for freedom.

Through all of Edna's travels she has always found peace and  comfort in painting the scenes of Venice. Chioggia is one of   those scenes All lithographs are signed and numbered by the artist. The selection  shown is a very small sample of what we have.

Artist Proof aka A|P is just what it implies. When Edna works on a stone, she  has to proof each screen and color. Since most of these are experiments with  technique and color, she will sign the artist proof. Many artist proofs are one of a kind; some are the edition proof, but it is still a proof that she has created and is allowing to be sold.

Artist proof and pastel  aka APP is an artist proof that Edna has enhanced herself to see how different colors may have looked or an artist proof where she changed the look completely. Each artist proof and pastel is a one of a kind

Unique and oil aka U&O is even rarer than the APP. It occurs when Edna takes a  serigraph and enhances it with oil, truly making it an extra valued piece of art. Like the APP,  there are no two alike and only a few are done of any images. Many images never have a U&O made.
