The Hibel Museum needs your support

The museum's mission is to serve as a multi-functional cultural and educational institution where the public can find resources for the study and appreciation of a broad collection of Hibel’s art, the museum’s collection of antique artifacts and art in general. Cultural programs such as teas, summer art camps, the Promenade Concert Series, adult art workshops, and children’s year-round art classes are available to community residents and visitors alike.

As a result of “Planned Giving” for estate tax purposes, the Hibel Museum of Art has been the benefactor of several gifts, including a snuff bottle collection, a paperweight collection, antique furniture and some of Hibel’s earlier works from private collectors. One of the most important gifts received by the museum is a life-size portrait of the late actress Ginger Rogers in her “Hello Dolly” costume. Hibel received a commission to paint the portrait in 1965 and it hangs proudly as a prominent piece in the collection.

Strolling outside the museum onto the campus grounds, one can enjoy the Lena and Abraham Hibel Rose Garden, a gift of the Palm Beach Rose Society. Visiting the beautiful garden blooms are a tradition at the Hibel Museum of Art.
