  Museum in Palm Beach               Lena

Read below to see how you can have a permanent place at the Hibel Museum of Art

 Celebrating 30 Years

The Hibel Museum of Art opened in Palm Beach on January 2, 1977

A rose garden was placed out in the back of the building when the Hibel Museum of Art opened in Palm Beach in 1977. Edna's mother, Lena, loved the rose garden and enjoyed it whenever possible. Later, when Lena became ill, Edna made sure that her homebound mother had a fresh rose every day. Upon Lena’s death, Edna felt it was befitting to have her mother’s cremated remains placed in her favorite place … the museum’s rose garden.

Shortly before the museum moved from Palm Beach, Edna requested that her mother’s ashes and roses be relocated to her and Tod’s yard until the museum reopened in its new location in Jupiter. In honor of the 30th anniversary of the museum’s opening and Edna's 90th birthday, we are reaching out to our supporters and admirers to help us complete the rose garden. A pathway of bricks surrounding the garden will be built leading to the marker of Lena & Abraham (Bert) Hibel. Each benefactor’s name, the name of a loved one, or business name will be placed on a stone for every  $30  donated to the museum as a permanent acknowledgment of your generosity and support of the museum.

                                                        To Reserve your Stone

Plans are also underway to add benches to the area. A  $300  donation will entitle you to have your name placed on a plaque on the back of one of the benches.

As always, we appreciate your continued interest and support of the Hibel Museum of Art. We could not exist without you. Send check to Hibel Museum of art, 5353 Parkside Drive Jupiter, Florida 33458 or call with credit card number 561-622-5560.

We will need to know the amount of bricks and the name you want on them. (space is limited on the stone)

We are in hopes of having this completed prior to Edna's 90th Birthday on January 13, 2007 so we can unveil it to her over her birthday weekend celebration.
